In the same pan, add 1 tbsp of oil and heat it. Add 1 tsp of cumin seeds and let them splutter. Add the chopped onions and green chilies and sauté until the onions turn translucent. Now, add 1 tbsp of ginger paste and 1 tbsp of garlic paste and sauté until the raw smell disappears.
Add the chopped tomatoes and cook until they turn soft and mushy. Add 1 tsp of coriander powder, 1/2 tsp of turmeric powder, and 1/2 tsp of red chili powder. Mix well and cook for 2-3 minutes.
Add the marinated chicken pieces and sauté until they are cooked and the oil starts separating from the gravy. Add the fried paneer cubes and green peas. Mix well and cook for another 5 minutes.
Step 4: Add the cream
Add 2 tbsp of butter and mix well. Add 1/4 cup of fresh cream and mix again. Simmer for a minute or two.
